Background and Aim: In recent years, the concept of creative city has become one of the most popular topics among experts, researchers, and decision-makers, so large cities and metropolises are focused on being able to create a sufficient and diverse demand threshold for people and activities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the situation of the metropolis of Tehran in order to what extent the current situation can introduce the city of Tehran as a creative city according to the factors and characteristics. In this regard, a questionnaire was designed based on theoretical foundations and research background in 6 indicators (urban vitality, participation, communication technology, efficiency and effectiveness, urban diversity, and creative industries).Methods: Considering that the population of Tehran in 2016 is equal to 8,679,936 people. According to Cochran's formula, the number of distributed questionnaires is 403. In data analysis, statistical methods of t-test, Fisher test, mean rank, regression, and multivariate correlation were used.Findings and Conclusion: The maximum value of t belongs to communication technology, the value of which is equal to 11.03.03. The lowest amount belongs to the creative industries of affairs with -2.780, which indicates the unfavorable situation of this item. In all indicators except creative industries, the value of t is more than zero and positive.The results show that among the studied indicators, the Creative Industries Index with a beta value of 0.313 has the most role and explanatory power in predicting the realization of a creative city in the study area. Also, according to the statistical tests of regions 22, 6, and 2, 1, 21 are in the first and second ranks of creativity levels in Tehran.

Creative city is a city where new activities take place and people work together responsibly and creatively and with collective thinking to solve problems and improve living conditions and environmental qualities of the city. The aim of this article is to investigate ways to improve the quality of public spaces in the city of Lar with a creative city approach; also the factors affecting the quality of public spaces in this city have examined. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in nature. Theoretical foundations and effective indicators in improving the quality of public spaces in the city have been examined through the review of scientific scholar, and the quality of urban spaces through public opinion survey. The statistical population is residents of 15 years and older in Lar city, sample size achieved using Cochran's formula, which is equal 381 people. The results show that the quality of public spaces in city of Lar is not appropriate according to the indicators of urban creativity in both components of site selection and design component with an average of 2.89, and the quality management and planning component of public spaces with an average of 3.13. Based on the factor analysis, the most important factors affecting the quality of public spaces in Lar are the sense of belonging and appropriateness, beauty and design, vitality and social interaction, access and a sense of vitality and adaptation of spaces. The most effective strategies in improving the quality of public spaces to enforce creativity are to use the spirit of citizen participation to solve the problems of urban spaces and maintain public spaces and improve sports activity, cultural and artistic activities and interaction with university centers.

The Creative cities are those that are able to offer new solutions to their daily problems. A creative city is a place for creativity to grow and develop in the city, for artistic creativity, scientific and technological innovation, the voice of a growing culture. Urban planners play a significant role in this regard. Therefore, the degree of creativity of cities is considered a critical issue for the development of large cities. Progressively moving toward a creative city is very necessary for spurring development, because the cities are those environments in which social, economic and cultural interactions take place. The purpose of the present research is to analyze the characteristics of the creative city using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) in Kermanshah. It is an applied research in terms of aim and descriptive-analytical in terms of methodology. In the process of preparing and collecting data, first the effective factors on the creative city of Kermanshah have been identified using the views of 30 city managers, professors and experts in universities and research centers through the Delphi method. To analyze the information of eight factors as strong influential factors on the creative city, the case of Kermanshah, Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) has been used and then analyzed by Mic Mac software. The results showed that the criteria of efficient transportation system and carbon-free energy system are the most effective and the criteria of strong social structure and safe houses are among the most effective factors and social dimension is the most significant indicator of creative city in Kermanshah. The results of Mick Mac also show that all factors belong to connective variables except green space factor.
