The rapid increase in the urban population, which is the result of the breakdown of social bonds of families and the weakening of cultural traditions in most of the big cities of the country, has caused many problems in social relations. Apartment living, as a subset of urban life, is one of the topics that has created new consequences and challenges in recent years due to the increase in population and the need for new housing while expanding. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effects of building density on the social relations of the residents of metropolises (case study of Elaheh neighborhood of Mashhad). This research is of a descriptive-analytical type and is among applied research. The statistical population of Elahia neighborhood is 14474 people and the sample size using Cochran's formula is 374 people. The findings of the research show that the average of all indicators in the first hypothesis was 3.90 and the second hypothesis was 3.96. According to the SWOT model, the most appropriate strategy is the defensive strategy (WT) and it is prioritized over other strategies. The result is that the high density of construction and population in contemporary buildings causes separation, distance and alienation in the human environment, and the existence of communal common spaces in high-rise units, if the spaces have a suitable, desirable and pleasant design, can compensate for the discussed phenomenon to a large extent. and provided a possibility for more interaction of the residents. Of course, this possibility is limited and completely depends on the design of spaces and the amount of population density (users)

Every year, a large number of tourists travel to other countries for treatment, and while using medical services, they visit the sightseeing spots of the countries. This method of tourism has become common in most countries of the world and as one of the dimensions of tourism, it helps the sustainable development and dynamism of the country's economy. Due to the low cost and high income of this industry, many developing countries focus their attention on this part of the industry and plan for it. Ahvaz city was done in terms of tourists. T-test was used to analyze the data and test the research hypothesis. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS software. The findings of the research show that the answers to the questions of medical, service and welfare infrastructures in Ahvaz city are equal to 3.41, which shows that the concentration of the answers is far from the average value (3). which indicates a large difference between the sample mean and the test value (3), so the hypothesis is confirmed. The results indicate that medical tourism as one of the pillars of tourism in general and medical tourism in particular has received the attention of many countries in recent decades and many of these countries consider medical tourism as one of the axes of creating employment. They have paid attention to earning foreign currency and so on and have taken significant measures in this regard. In Iran, in this phenomenon, in the fourth and fifth development plans, experts in the field of health and treatment and cultural heritage and tourism organization have received attention.

Context and purpose: Citizen Responsibility provides a platform for civic participation and through that, improving the social dimensions of urban development issues. Although citizen participation has been explored by many scientific researches, citizenship responsibility as the internal motivation of citizens to participate is still not well known. This research tries to discover the indicators related to the responsibility of citizens and examine them depending on the two old and new urban contexts.Research method: This research chose a quantitative research method with a questionnaire in response to what variables have the greatest impact on the responsiveness of citizens and whether the residents of the old and new urban fabric show different levels of responsibility. Effective criteria were extracted based on theoretical studies and Delphi method by a number of university professors and completed in the form of a questionnaire including 24 questions among 300 people present in the old and new context of the city.Findings and conclusions: The findings show that the residents of the new context of Kazeroon show a significant difference in responsibility with 0.55 compared to the residents of the old context with 0.09 and variables such as the conscientiousness of citizens, their civic participation and the informativeness of the living environment have a significant effect. It will have an effect on the researched variable. As it is known, some of these variables are related to the environment and some are related to the psychological and personal characteristics of each citizen. Therefore, by modeling the different conditions of the new context, it is possible to provide the conditions for more responsibility of citizens in different urban contexts, at least physically.

Context and purpose: A decade after the revolution, in order to organize the country's urban system, the construction of new cities around the mother cities and densely populated urban centers was put on the agenda of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. But the expected results, i.e. systematization of urbanization and development of the country's urbanization, have not been achieved.Research method: This article was compiled with the aim of investigating the factors of failure of new cities in Iran. The target population of new cities in Iran and the sample population of the research are 50 geography professors specializing in urban planning. In this regard, 6 indicators have been used in 27 items.Findings and conclusions: The results of the Delphi technique showed that the lack of land use plan with 3.94 as the most influential, followed by problems related to the employment structure and failure to achieve job self-sufficiency with 3.78, neglecting environmental-geographical studies with 32. 3/3 and the instability of urban planning policies and the continuous change of approaches in the field of housing and urban development with 2.92 are considered as other factors of the failure of new cities. Also, the results of Friedman's test also show that the technical-engineering and economic indicators are preferable to other indicators with an average of 5.58 and 5.12, respectively. The results of the factor analysis show that the lack of land survey plan and little attention to geographical studies; Failure to pay attention to the distance, problems related to the planning principles of new cities and the increase in the cost of urban services were recognized as the most important factors for the failure of new cities.

Background and Aim: According to studies conducted in recent decades, changing the pattern of traditional to modern urban planning has been associated with challenges. In a study conducted in the city of Ardabil, the most important current challenges are irregular growth and development of the city, unbalanced and inharmonic, disruption and disorder in urban space, the disproportion of per capita, barren lands Abandoned in and around the city, the incompatibility of urban design with geographical conditions, the imposition of heavy urban transportation and traffic costs, as well as insufficient attention to infrastructure issues. The main purpose of this study is to analyze and investigate the contemporary urban planning pattern in Ardabil city and revive and recreate the traditional urban planning pattern in order to preserve the authentic Iranian texture in modern urban planning and also demonstrate of the consequences of neglecting the rich assets of Iranian urban development. Methods: The nature of this research is descriptive-analytical with an applied approach, which has been carried out using library and field methods. The statistical population of the research is Ardabil city, the urban and population growth and development during the years 1976 to 2021 have been investigated. To monitor and investigate the horizontal growth of the city, Landsat satellite images were used and statistical analyses have been performed by a quartile distribution method.Findings and Conclusions: According to the results obtained from this study, it is clear that the coherent and regular structure of the city has been defunct, and we are witnessing the horizontal growth of the city and the mismatch between urban area and population, and the uneven distribution of the population in the city. Also, based on investigations, the pattern of urban planning with a regular neighborhood structure with the natural and cultural environment is the most effective pattern for solving urban problems, and this model tends to local urban development. Revival of traditional patterns in modern urban planning can be fruitful and play a complementary role.

Background and Aim: Nowadays, due to the important role of the transportation system in sustainable urban development, it is important to adopt appropriate policies in the urban transportation sector and develop sustainable transportation as one of the main areas of urban growth.. Green transportation means sustainable transportation with the least negative effects on the environment, which according to the current conditions of the world, we should seek to achieve this and use modern technologies to reduce the environmental effects caused by transportation. The main goal of this research is to investigate the effect of using green transportation in improving the living conditions of Iranian cities. Methods: This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of nature. The method of collecting information was document-library and content analysis.Findings and Conclusion: The research results show; Today, special attention has been paid to the approach of green urban transportation in many regions of the world. In Iran, in many cities under the influence of global developments and the implementation of various urban plans, the economic factor has become the main determining factor and the developments of the current century and the oil-based economy have resulted in excessive population density, the concentration of activities and the frequency of constructions, the growth and physical expansion of urban centers and the destruction of the natural ecosystem of the country's cities; However, in some cities of the country, measures have been taken to achieve urban green transportation but the necessity of creating and planning to use this model is felt more and more every day, considering the problems that have arisen for the cities of the country; And in the following, suggestions and solutions are provided for the implementation of this approach.

Finding a way to empower communities and individuals to resist against natural disasters has increased a necessity of defining and evaluating disaster resilience. Aim of this study is to evaluate the components of social and economic resilience of the earthquake-stricken city of Bam, which was struck by a devastating earthquake in 2003. Based on the goal, research method is applied, and descriptive-analytic method is used to evaluate the components of social and economic resilience of the earthquake-stricken of the city. Due to the heterogeneity of the population and sampling units, multi-stage sampling method was used. The sample size in this study, using the Cochran's formula, was determined to be 330 households. Statistical tests including one-sample t-test and multiple linear regression were used to analyze the data. The results show that households dwelled in Bam are at an undesirable condition in area of components of knowledge and skills, and desirable condition in terms of components of Components of awareness, attitude and social capital. Overall, the social resilience dimension has been reported at a desirable level. But, In term of economic resilience and its three components, 1) the amount and severity of damage, 2)the ability to compensate and 3)return to appropriate employment and financial conditions, the situation is relatively unfavorable.

Urban decayed texture is the most important potential for using urban land, for housing, providing open spaces and services, and improving the environmental qualities. On the other hand, these contexts are a practical solution to prevent the physical expansion of the city from underdeveloped lands around the city and the development of empty and abandoned lands within the urban area that can help revitalize the city. In this regard, the main aim of this study is to identify the capacity of decayed texture to construct housing. Research method is descriptive-analytical in terms of nature, and applied in terms of purpose and aim. In order to achieve the goals of the research, spatial data and performing relevant analyzes in GIS and multi-criteria decision model AHP, VIKOR, SAW has been used. The statistical population were urban planning experts of Isfahan, and the sample size is 30 experts, based on theoretical saturation, and snowball sampling is used to choose the experts. The results of the two methods of VIKOR and linear weight combination showed that out of the total area of Sarcheshmeh neighborhood, in VIKOR model 336354.29 square meters and in linear weight combination model, 15213.59 square meters have high capacity for housing production. Since the number of pixels on the utility threshold is higher in the VIKOR model, the output of the VIKOR model is preferred to use the decayed texture to provide future housing.
